In this role you will help us to keep our communities safe through undertaking a wide range of regulatory activities including health protection, infection control, health and safety at work, food safety and integrity and port health. You’ll be joining a dedicated and experienced team where you will be managing your own caseload of primarily Food Safety and Health and Safety work including proactive and reactive inspections, complaint investigations and service requests. Being an Environmental Health Officer at Westmorland and Furness Council is both varied and challenging; no two days are the same. The ideal candidates will have a diploma, BSc, or MSc in Environmental Health, be qualified Environmental Health Practitioners, EHRB registered or equivalent, and currently competent as specified in the Food Law Code of Practice.
