Equipped with two units of SGT5-4000F gas turbines and SST5-5000 steam turbines, it epitomises the pinnacle of gas-fired Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) technology. Opportunity Summary The Environmental, Health, Safety and Quality (EHSQ) Manager is responsible for providing critical support on EHSQ issues, assisting in the formulation and review of EHSQ policies and procedures, and contributing to the development of plans to achieve EHSQ objectives. The role involves managing risk reduction programmes, ensuring compliance with all relevant permits and regulations, and acting as the Environmental Management Representative while maintaining adherence to company and legislative requirements. Key Duties and Responsibilities

Provide assistance and support to the business on EHSQ issues. Assist the plant management team in formulating, reviewing, and developing EHSQ policies and procedures. Contribute to the creation of plans that outline how agreed EHSQ objectives will be achieved. Determine and communicate EHSQ priorities based on risk assessment and safety performance. Act as the Environmental Management Representative and fulfil the duties as outlined in the site's quality procedures. Ensure compliance with all permits and legislative EHS requirements. Maintain adherence to all company and owner EHSQ requirements. Report any deviations from prescribed operating environmental limits to the plant management team. Other Duties

Be actively involved in the effective implementation and management of all EHSQ programmes. Ensure risk management is conducted through effective risk assessment and control identification. Manage risk reduction programmes and improvement initiatives. Review and report on accident performance and trends within the business. Assist the management team in reviewing and auditing the overall performance of the EHSQ Management System. Develop a network within the sites and the larger business to ensure effective communication of EHSQ matters. Coordinate the activities of all safety committees. Audit environmental parameters daily to ensure operations remain within prescribed consent levels. Establish procedures for the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH). Manage, monitor, and audit all waste streams from the site. Deliver monthly EHSQ reports to the management team. Provide ongoing EHSQ training and advice to all facility staff. Reporting Relationships

The EHSQ Manager reports to the Plant Manager. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, stair and ladder climbing, and routinely lifting up to 15 kg. Protective equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties. There are extensive smoking restrictions in and around the facility. Compensation

Initial starting compensation will range from £60,000 to £70,000, depending upon qualifications and experience. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (BSc) in a relevant field, such as Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, or Engineering. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH General Certificate or Diploma are desired. Experience in safety and environmental compliance for operating facilities. In-depth knowledge of major environmental legislation. Strong oral and written communication skills. Note:
