Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor

to join the team in the Bristol area. The ideal candidate will take a hands-on approach to environmental, health & safety control, arrangements & documentation across the site.

Hours:

9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Responsibilities for the Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor:

Leading by example & championing EHS on a day-to-day basis. Serving as the point of contact for all EHS matters & advising those with delegated EHS responsibilities. Taking a pragmatic approach to EHS challenges solutions. Preparing, reviewing & updating internal & external EHS policies & documentation in consultation with relevant personnel (eg safe operating procedures, risk assessments, work permits). Confidentially coordinating the health surveillance programme, analysing reports. Leading incident investigations in conjunction with responsible persons. Administering existing safety accreditation, progressing to ISO 14001 & 45001. Requirements for the Environmental, Health & Safety Advisor:

NEBOSH General Certificate essential; NEBOSH National Diploma preferred (or equivalent). Experience in a manufacturing, engineering or warehousing environment. Exceptional organisational skills with very high attention to detail & strict confidentiality. Ability to multi-task, anticipate and respond effectively to changing priorities. High standard of written & verbal communication, with a confident & professional phone manner. Comfortable working autonomously. Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft suite.
