Essential: Environmental Management & Sustainability: Proven experience leading sustainability initiatives for large-scale infrastructure projects, with a deep understanding of integrating sustainability into design and delivery. EIA Coordination: Extensive experience overseeing Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), managing multi-disciplinary teams, and ensuring environmental considerations are effectively integrated into project plans. Planning & Consents: Strong knowledge of the UK planning system, with experience securing environmental consents & permits for infrastructure projects. Environmental Permitting: Practical understanding of Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR), including managing permits, ensuring compliance, and liaising with regulatory bodies. Technical Environmental Knowledge: A solid understanding of key technical disciplines under EIA, such as ecology, air quality, noise, landscape, water and sustainability sub disciplines e.g. Carbon, BREEAM, CEEQUAL. Carbon Management: Knowledge of developing and implementing carbon reduction strategies across project lifecycles, including embedded and operational carbon. Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Experience managing relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on environmental and sustainability goals. Project Management: Proven ability to lead environmental and sustainability workstreams within scope, budget, and timelines, while delivering high-quality results. Leadership & Team Management: Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience managing teams of environmental and sustainability professionals. Business Development: Proven track record of winning work streams via pre-positioning and developing winning bids. Desirable: Chartered Membership: Holding or working towards chartership (e.g., CEnv, IEMA). Sustainable Construction: Experience with green infrastructure and sustainable construction practices. Climate Resilience: Knowledge of climate resilience and adaptation strategies for infrastructure projects. Lifecycle Assessment: Familiarity with lifecycle assessment, sustainability metrics, and carbon footprint analysis tools. Environmental Law: Understanding of environmental law and regulatory processes related to infrastructure development. Low-Carbon Technologies: Exposure to renewable energy and low-carbon technologies applicable to infrastructure projects. You'll get this and so much more...
