We are currently looking for an Environmental Manager to join our Civil Engineering Client. The role will be based out of Cumberland with a salary up to £67,000 + car or car allowance.

Responsibilities of Environmental Manager: Initiate and maintain systems to review and monitor compliance with BS EN ISO 14001 standards. Manage and oversee monitoring equipment, collect, process and interpret data (e.g. water, dust, noise, waste). Conduct Environmental Site inspections, highlighting any bad and good practices to the relevant teams and Senior Management. Ensure that the Project Environmental Management System is implemented and operated on site through a programme of checking and auditing. Record and report all incidents - instigate any actions required. Prepare monthly environmental reports. Regularly report progress against environmental compliance and environmental targets. Develop appropriate measures to deal with environmental risks. Produce, review and update the Project Environmental Management Plan - EMP (and associated plans) on a regular basis. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and client representatives.

Requirements for Environmental Manager: Experience with either a consulting engineer, civil engineering contractor or a specialist environmental contractor. Knowledge of all aspects of environmental design and works. Member of IEMA and working towards chartered status. Full UK Driving Licence.
