Job Description United Living are recruiting for a Environmental Manager to join our growing Major Projects team to provide our clients with a range of environmental management services for major infrastructure projects.

This is a site based project role will be based at our head office at Warrington and includes working on projects across the North West of England. As Environment Manager you'll support many aspects of project development, including supporting and leading internal and external stakeholders in delivering and maintaining the necessary consents in accordance with relevant environmental and planning legislation for various projects. All of the projects being developed are Nationally Significant Infrastructure projects across the UK, all subject to Development Consents Orders. The first being a Carbon Capture Pipeline in the North West commencing from January 2025. Duties & Responsibilities: Consents Management:

Responsibility for leading the management of consents and approvals for infrastructure projects. Typically this will involve managing specialist consultant submissions and managing the application process. Regulatory Compliance:

Stay abreast of regulatory requirements, environmental standards, and planning regulations to ensure adherence throughout the project lifecycle. Stakeholder Engagement:

Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with key project stakeholders and statutory bodies through ongoing engagement to successfully deliver consents. Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of consents, permits, and approvals, and prepare reports to support project documentation and compliance requirements. Project Coordination:

Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate consent requirements into project plans and schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines. Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to share knowledge, provide guidance on environmental matters, and foster a culture of collaboration and excellence. Team Leadership:

Be the leadership of the environmental support team for the project, which shall include 5 direct reporting staff. Qualifications Skills & Experience: Proven experience

in project environmental management, environmental permitting, or regulatory compliance within the infrastructure sector. We particularly seek candidates with experience and understanding of the DCO (Development Consent Order) process. Project management skills , including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing deadlines, and coordinate activities across multiple projects. Strong understanding

of either planning regulations, environmental legislation, or land rights and regulatory frameworks relevant to infrastructure projects. Excellent interpersonal skills. Evidence of success

in forming and maintaining working relationships in a multi-disciplinary environment. Good negotiation/collaboration skills

to ensure full support within the framework. Leadership.

Ability to work as part of a team, leading all matters relevant to the environmental discipline. Up to date

with the latest developments in Professional Competence. Behavioural Qualities: Ability to see things differently

- prepared to question standard approaches in order to manage consenting risks and programme deadlines. Support and develop

- create a local leadership team by delegation, coaching, and mentoring. Decisiveness

- makes day-to-day business choices that have commercial implications, knowing when to inform others or ask for support. Qualifications: Relevant degree

that provide a solid foundation such as Bachelor's in Environmental Science, Geology or Engineering, or closely related field or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Additional Information: Must be highly computer literate including Microsoft Office and confident in managing and working with data. Must be a good time keeper. This job is a full-time role, 8am-5pm Monday to Friday. This is an office based role working with the management team at the head office at Lingley Mere, Warrington and on site with projects as required.
