at our Loughborough site in Leicestershire; the site is easily accessible from Quorn, Barrow upon Soar, Mountsorrel, Rothley, Birstall, Thurmaston, Markfield, Shepshed, Leicester, Atherstone, Tamworth, Ashby-De-La-Zouch, Castle Donnington, Derby, Nottingham, Melton Mowbray, and the surrounding areas. As the successful

Environmental Permitting & Compliance Manager , you will report to the National Permitting Manager. The duties and responsibilities will include (not exhaustive): Securing new environmental permits for waste operations, water discharge and abstractions, mines waste, part B air emissions, flood risk activities and trade effluent and variations to permits, transfers and surrenders. Compiling, submitting and managing applications to the relevant regulators. Identifying changes to regulations and guidance that require new permits, or impact on our existing permits. Advising the business on the actions that are required to become compliant with the legislation. Providing expert advice to the business relating to technical issues regarding permit conditions, or associated environmental legislation, including gaining appropriate legal advice and support where necessary. Managing regulator communication and relationships. Ensuring compliance with CRH, Tarmac, and Industry reporting requirements. The Ideal Candidate

The ideal

Environmental Permitting & Compliance Manager

will have a strong technical background with experience of writing and managing permit applications and liaising with regulators. Specialist knowledge in waste or water resources would be beneficial. If you have any of the following, this would add weight to your application: Knowledge of environmental legislation, guidance, practices, and procedures. Experience writing permit applications for waste operations, water discharges, and abstractions. Knowledge of regulatory compliance, legal processes, and environmental management systems. Experience of working with regulatory authorities. Knowledge of mineral extraction and associated processing techniques. Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in an environmental or science-related field. Why Us
