My client, a world leader in the design of state-of-the-art electronics, is looking for two Environmental Product Test Engineers to play a key role in ensuring products meet the highest standards of reliability. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about testing products for extreme environments, including thermal, humidity, shock, and vibration conditions.
Your Role
Oversee daily operations of the Environmental Test Laboratory. Ensure equipment is maintained, safe, and ready for use. Manage inventory and lab resources efficiently. Maintain health and safety standards. Train other lab users and promote best practices. Develop testing capabilities to ensure products are robust and reliable. Create and execute test strategies based on customer requirements. Process and document test data and results in line with industry standards.
What You Bring
Experience in a fast-paced product development environment. HND, BSc, or BEng in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). Practical experience with environmental testing, such as: Vibration, shock, and drop testing. Thermal cycling. Salt mist/corrosion testing. Water ingress protection. Humidity testing. Solid problem-solving skills and understanding of engineering principles. Familiarity with mass production processes (e.g., injection moulding, die-casting). Strong collaboration, communication, and organizational skills. Fluent in English (written and verbal). Willingness to work on-site, 5 days a week.
