Environmental Sustainability Manager

Plymouth, Commutable from: Tavistock, Ivybridge, Saltash, Yelverton
Salary:
Up to £54,000 per annum DOE + Bonus + Early Finish on Friday + Pension + Extra Benefits
Overview: Excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in driving sustainability within a large organisation looking for a new role that offers autonomy and the ability to make the role their own.
The company is a well-established, highly revered manufacturing company in the Plymouth area with sites across the world. They are renowned for the quality of their products and for being a leading and progressive employer within the area. This is a key role within the business, ensuring that legal compliance requirements are fulfilled and driving environmental and sustainability improvements across the organisation. Although this is a Manager position, it is currently standalone with no reportees. This is a new role for my client as they look to improve their sustainability and footprint of the business as a whole, so it will suit a person who is looking for autonomy and the opportunity to make a significant impact.
The Role:
Develop, lead and support key strategies for continuous improvement of Environmental, Social and Governance standards throughout the business processes. Provide a fast and reliable response to all third-party enquiries and key asks related to sustainability. Act as a leadership role model for the wider organisation, demonstrating appropriate leadership behaviours of Communication, Training, Teamwork and Recognition, in line with company goals.
The Person: Strong experience within sustainability & environmental (Site Carbon footprint - Scope 1, 2 and 3, CSRD reports etc). Strong communication, leadership, analytical and IT skills. Relevant bachelor's degree.
