Environmental Sustainability Specialist - Warwick (Hybrid) - £46,000 to £55,000

About the role:

Are you passionate about driving environmental and sustainability initiatives that deliver tangible benefits for businesses, communities, and the planet? National Gas is seeking an Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team and play a key role in ensuring our environmental and sustainability objectives are met. In this role, you'll develop and support the delivery of our environmental sustainability strategy, while providing specialist advice and guidance to embed sustainability into our operations. You’ll lead on designing and implementing metrics, plans, and tools for initiatives including Circular Economy, Nature, and Climate, as well as quantifying risks and opportunities tied to environmental performance. You’ll also play a pivotal role in engaging with stakeholders across the business and externally, championing the value of sustainability and helping to drive meaningful change. With a focus on delivering real benefits to National Gas, the environment, and local communities, you’ll develop and deliver impactful sustainability training and communications, empowering our teams to embrace sustainable practices. As part of our hybrid working approach, this role offers a mix of office working in Warwick and home working. You'll need to be able to travel into the Warwick office approx. 2-3 times a week. Essential - Degree (or equivalent) in an environment/sustainability discipline Knowledge of environmental/sustainability legislation and its application Broad appreciation of business environmental sustainability objectives Awareness of relevant nascent technologies and concepts Full UK car driving licence Desirable - Professional membership of a relevant professional body e.g. IEMA, CIEEM, CIWEM What we can offer you:
