We are currently looking for an experienced Equine Surgeon to join Fyrnwy Equine Hospital, a renowned 24-hour specialist clinic in Baschurch, Shropshire, on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will be a Boarded Specialist, Residency trained or a certificate holder. This role involves working alongside two experienced surgeons to manage a diverse caseload of orthopaedic and emergency surgeries. You'll be part of a collaborative team that includes fellow Diplomates and Certificate holders. We also have a supportive group of interns and ERVNs, in whom you will have the opportunity to help guide and mentor. This position is ideal for those seeking a fixed-term contract. About Us

Fyrnwy Equine Clinic is a leading provider of equine veterinary services, serving clients in Baschurch, Wrexham, and beyond. Our practice encompasses a large specialist hospital and GP ambulatory clinic, equipped to deliver comprehensive care to horses across Shropshire, North Wales, and Cheshire. As an RCVS accredited Tier 3 Hospital and Equine Emergency Service Clinic, we pride ourselves on delivering excellence in veterinary medicine and surgery. The surgical hospital facility consists of a fully equipped operating theatre, padded recovery room with hoist and preparation area. We have equipment needed for tenoscopy, bursoscopy and arthroscopy. Standing surgery is also performed in a dedicated standing surgery room. Throughout the year we carry out around 1000 procedures both under general anaesthesia and standing sedation. Applicant Requirements

We are looking for a Board certified or Board eligible Equine Surgeon or RCVS Advanced Practitioner in Equine Surgery - Orthopaedics. Working Hours

Full time hours will consist of 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, with a 1:3 Weekends OOH responsibility. Embrace Work-Life Balance in a Picturesque Setting
