Equipment Engineer focuses on carry out repairs, improvements, and de-risking activities on manufacturing.
What the role involves
- Carry out repairs, improvements, and de-risking activities on manufacturing.
- Supporting engineering programmes addressing obsolescence, unreliability.
- Work closely with multi-disciplinary engineering teams and external contractors to ensure work is delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
- Assisting with technical specifications, supplier evaluations, and contractor proposals.
- The successful Equipment Maintenance Engineer will demonstrate strong practical and technical experience in several of the following areas.
- High-risk systems such as high voltage, high energy, vacuum, plasma, RF, and complex control systems.
Skills and requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- HNC/HND or military engineering qualifications will be considered with substantial relevant experience.
Candidate fit
- A hands-on approach with sound engineering judgement and attention to detail.
- The ability to analyse complex problems and propose practical, long-term solutions.
