Equities and Prime Intraday Risk Management Business Analyst Rate: Inside IR35 via Umbrella company - £770.59 Location: London – Hybrid – 3 days in the office Duration: 6 months

Role Summary:

This role involves supporting Equities and Prime Financing business lines, including Cash Equities, Equity Derivatives, Synthetic Prime, Delta1, Futures Execution, and Derivatives Clearing Services. The primary focus is on meeting regulatory commitments related to intraday risk management and enhancing front-office risk viewing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

Understand the context of the work i.e. the regulatory drivers and the Equities and Prime Financing Platforms, particularly the front-to-back system architecture and flows within the Risk & PnL space. Guided by an experienced Product Owner, use this understanding to deliver accurate, insightful, and timely data and data analysis which will lead to correct designs and solutions being delivered to the Equities and Prime Financing Risk Managers. Work closely with other Equities and Prime Financing Business Analysts in other programs e.g. the Equities demise programmes, to ensure best practice is established and any opportunity for reusing approaches/data is taken. Solutions delivered must successfully balance e.g. tactical vs strategic/cost-benefit/time-to-market etc. and the data analysis delivered should inform this decision making. Communication is key and this role will involve communication with stakeholders who will require a succinct summary of progress, along with timely and accurate communication of the challenges and issues that are encountered.

Knowledge and Experience:

Essential Experience

Bachelor's or equivalent University degree. Business Analyst experience (at least 5 years’ relevant experience in Global Markets Risk & PnL environment), ideally in Equities but cross-asset also an advantage. Evidence of a successful track record delivering high quality data business analysis within a Global Markets environment. Experience of facilitating data driven decision making, ideally in an Agile environment. Experience of delivering both technology and non-technology change. Essential Skills / Competencies

Excellent analytical skills, including data analysis using SQL. Competent using Jira and Confluence. Good understanding of business analysis best practice, methodologies, and the project lifecycle. Good written and communication skills and ability to operate at multiple levels. Collaborative front-foot style with ability to quickly build trust and credibility.
