Job Overview This role is responsible for managing and coordinating the Trust’s employee relations casework and team, ensuring that case work is carried out in a timely, effective, and efficient way and in accordance with EEAST policies and procedures, current legislation, and best practice. To support the Head of ER in delivering a fully comprehensive, high quality, and timely Employee Relations (ER) Service to the Trust. To deputise for the Deputy Head of Employee Relations as and when required. Main Duties of the Job In addition to the Employee Relations element of the role, there will also be some line management responsibility. You will be required to work with ER information systems along with other more general duties including projects, striving to continuously improve ER services and report on activity and performance data. Working for Our Organisation Working within the HR department, specifically under the Employee Relations team dealing with ER cases. This will include liaising with multiple colleagues at different levels to gather a variety of information. This role is offered as maternity cover for a 12-month period. Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities As outlined above, in addition to the Employee Relations element of the role, there will also be some line management responsibility. Person Specification Qualifications Educated to Masters level or equivalent experience in a related field. Experience Experience of advising on complex Employee Relations cases, with a high case load. Knowledge of employment law. Good influencing skills. Experience of supervising staff. Experience of working in the NHS.
