You will be part of an organization at the top of their game, with extensive in-house production facilities, a family-oriented atmosphere, and a supportive environment based on teamwork, experience, and quality, making them the 'go-to' choice in the region. You will be responsible for estimating bespoke steel solutions as part of the Sales Department, working within the Norwich office from 8:30-16:30, Monday to Friday (including a 30-minute lunch break) and selling draughting steel solutions while liaising with clients on the telephone. The role: Produce detailed cost estimates and quotations for steel solutions. Undertake detailed and accurate 'take offs' from ITT information and drawings. Use company in-house bespoke software (training provided). Acquire third-party quotes for specialist 'buy out options'. Customer-facing experience and good telephone communication skills are essential. Mentor and support Trainee Estimators. Provide clear and accurate sales data. Ensure smooth operations and delivery of quotes. Recognize and maximize all commercial opportunities. Provide financial reporting to senior management as requested. Willingness to integrate and collaborate with the rest of the team. Able to deliver high standards of customer service to key clients. Liaise with the Surveyor to ensure accurate delivery of steel solutions and ultimately client satisfaction. Represent the company when presenting to clients. Office-based role 8-4.30 Monday to Friday (including a 30-minute lunch break) in the Norwich Office. The person: Solid knowledge and understanding of steel. Experience in estimating. Accuracy. Desire to deliver high levels of customer service to important clients. Willingness to listen and understand client needs. Ability to provide bespoke steel solutions based on clients' actual needs. Ability to explain and sell solutions to clients based on their actual needs. Ability to commute daily to Norwich. Good customer service skills by telephone. Ability to communicate complex steel solutions. Telephone sales skills. Ability to understand the bigger picture to ensure reputational management. Willingness to continually improve and learn more about the steel industry to provide the best bespoke solutions.
