ASAP Role Overview
We are working with a large Public Body who require an Interim ERP Programme Planner who will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and establishing reporting systems on the master programme plan. This includes integrating workstream-level plans, ensuring alignment with key milestones and dependencies, and supporting programme governance. The role requires expertise in planning tools and methodologies, strong stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to manage complex dependencies across a multi-faceted programme. Key Responsibilities
Programme Planning
Develop and manage a comprehensive programme plan, ensuring alignment with overall objectives and programme timelines. Integrate detailed workstream-level plans for governance, technology, change management and others. Establish systems for monitoring and reporting against the programme plan that enables tracking progress against key milestones, identifying potential risks and recommending mitigation strategies. Dependency and Risk Management
Identify and manage dependencies across workstreams. Collaborate with the Programme Manager and wider team to ensure alignment between the risk register and the programme schedule. Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with the programme team, PMO, finance and other stakeholders to develop the plan. With the programme manager facilitate a plan review and workshop with workstream leads and departmental representatives. Candidate Profile
Essential Skills & Experience
Demonstrable experience as a Senior Programme Planner on large-scale transformation programmes, ideally ERP or technology-focused. Proficiency in planning tools including Microsoft Project Online. Expertise in critical path analysis, resource planning, and schedule risk management. Ability to manage interdependencies across complex workstreams and liaise with multiple stakeholders. Strong communication skills, with experience presenting plans and updates to senior stakeholders. Experience working within the public sector or similar regulated environments. Desirable Skills
Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft, Oracle, or Workday. Familiarity with public procurement processes and governance. Professional qualifications in project or programme management (e.g., PRINCE2, MSP, or PMP). Working Arrangements
Hybrid working: Two days per week on-site in Nottingham, with the remainder of the week remote. Flexibility to attend additional on-site meetings as needed for critical workshops or programme milestones.
