Working with and under the Estate Team Leader and Nursery Manager as required, the role will include, but not be restricted to, the following duties: Helping develop a new plant nursery, creating new areas to grow plants. Potting, weeding, plant husbandry, and wider estates work as required. Prepare and maintain new and existing woodland plantations, such as: watering, guying, pruning, ground care, and weed control. Assisting with the maintenance of trees, hedges, and tracks, including leaf collection, spraying, strimming, and ground clearance as per tree care practices. Assisting with the maintenance and development of the growing tree nursery areas. Working with various types of machinery and equipment to prepare and maintain various estate areas. Undertake general maintenance of equipment such as daily checks, greasing up, and pre and post-use checks. Ensure equipment is safe and fit for purpose. To be proactive and flag with your line manager if stock requires attention and/or if materials are running low. Excellent communication skills within the team. Helpful but not necessary:
