An ambitious and commercially minded manager is required to step into the dairy enterprise of a prominent estate in East Anglia. With an interest in countryside stewardship schemes, alongside organic farming you will step into this role with the ability to hit the ground running. Reporting into the Head of Farming, you will collaborate your ideas and methods to promote the success of the herd and team. About you:
Strong dairy background is essential. Experienced in managing on-farm teams, providing support and guidance as required. A keen interest in grazing platforms and arable operations would be an advantage. Coming from a block calving background would be preferable. Ability to interpret herd performance data. Liaise with stakeholders. Have knowledge of organic systems. About the role:
400 autumn block calving herd. Grazing system to include whole crop within diet. All replacements are reared in-house. In return:
