This role will be an essential part of our Estates and Facilities team based at East Surrey Hospital and have oversight of all essential contracts ranging from critical plant maintenance through to grounds keeping. In line with the Trust's draft Master plan, the Procurement and Contracts Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the Estates Engineering stores are maintained effectively and essential minimum stock supply (EMSS) is maintained at all times to aid reactive and planned maintenance. The post holder will also need to demonstrate excellent communication skills as the requirement for regular meetings with our contractors and suppliers is invaluable. In order to ensure that best practice is followed and service levels are maintained to the highest levels, the Procurement and Contracts Manager will be responsible for setting up regular meetings and reviewing KPIs and other criteria associated with quality and best value for Trust money. This role will assist the senior leadership team within the Estates and Facilities department in evaluating current and future contracts and to better demonstrate effective use of public money within a diverse and complex healthcare setting. Main duties of the job

In addition to the above, this position will cover the day-to-day management of the Estates Help desk and ensure that effective communication is maintained through our dedicated CAFM (Computer Aided Facilities Management) system at all times. The coordination of this small team will benefit all of the other operations within the Estates Department and aid financial control of the Engineering Stores and ensure that the team can effectively communicate with other members of the team at East Surrey Hospital and our off-site locations more effectively.
