Due to significant, sustained growth, we are looking for an experienced Estimator ideally from a Civil Engineering background. Our client is a specialist Civil Engineering Contractor, who works across the UK and Ireland. They are a highly successful, niche specialist contractor, with a portfolio which includes smaller scale projects, right through to multi-year complex programmes of work. Working specifically within the Utility sector, particularly within Water, Marine, Roads and Rail. Why Apply:

Competitive salary and package, with limited travel. Key Responsibilities:

Act as point of contact for all tender enquiries, working through solution scoping, estimating cost and ultimately guiding the price for tenders. Working with external 3rd parties to understand pricing for materials and sub-contracts as required. Ensure tender documents are thoroughly reviewed for completeness. Working with the SMT/Civil Engineering Team to understand and ensure the technical solution is feasible and fully scoped. Conduct necessary site visits as part of the estimating process (expect this to be limited). Evaluate project price, cost, risks and opportunities, presenting tenders for adjudication. Desired Skills and Experience:

Essential:

Experience as an Estimator within Civil Engineering. Knowledge of piping, trenching and drainage projects, highly advantageous. Excellent communication skills and commercial awareness. Experience in presenting tenders for adjudication and assessing project risks. Skills:
