European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) is a new rail signalling system being rolled out in the United Kingdom, aiming to offer a more reliable signalling system that will increase capacity and speeds, ultimately providing a better rail service for our passengers. GTR is playing a huge role, and we are looking for experienced engineers to join us as we upgrade our rolling stock to be compatible with ERTMS signalling.

ETCS Wireless Communications Engineer
to join our growing ERTMS onboard team. The ETCS Wireless Comms Engineer is responsible for monitoring, reporting, and developing improvement programmes for the performance of GSM/GSMR Voice and Data applications across GTR fleets. This role will be based out of our Selhurst Engineering Depot, but travel across depots will be required. Minimum Requirements: A minimum of 5 years working on traction and rolling stock. Strong knowledge of modern communications systems and development. Must be chartered or working towards membership through a monitored professional development scheme, or equivalent.
