European Rail Traffic Management System (ERTMS) is a new rail signalling system being rolled out in the United Kingdom, with the aim of offering a more reliable signalling system that will increase capacity and speeds, ultimately providing a better rail service for our passengers. GTR are playing a huge role, and we are looking for experienced engineers to join us as we upgrade our rolling stock to be compatible with ERTMS signalling.

We are looking for an
ETCS Wireless Communications Engineer
to join our growing ERTMS onboard team. The ETCS Wireless Comms Engineer is responsible for monitoring, reporting and development of improvement programmes for performance of GSM/GSMR Voice and Data applications across GTR fleets. This role will be based out of our Selhurst Engineering Depot, but you would be required to travel across depots. If you have: A minimum of 5 years working on traction and rolling stock. Strong knowledge of modern communications systems and development. Must be chartered or working towards membership through a monitored professional development scheme, or equivalent.
