Waters Wilmslow are looking for an experienced Commodity Manager to join their team!
This position will be responsible for the strategic supplier management within the MS (Mass Spectrometry) global portfolio. Maintaining and improving upon strategic procurement and management of key materials to support the overall MS business. The Commodity Manager will be responsible for business relationships with suppliers to ensure continuity of supply and raise any identified business risks, whilst ensuring that suppliers engage good manufacturing practice. Cost saving initiatives and improvement projects in support of the annual operating plan form part of the role. Overseeing process improvements to enhance the working practices across the supply chain.

Responsibilities
- Identify and Implement Sourcing Projects and project specific spend
- Identify, lead, and drive cost saving for the Wilmslow and Wexford through PPV initiatives
- Provide Supply Chain support where required to meet NPI launch and transfer
- Proactively handle and review existing and new suppliers
- To Identify new suppliers to meet our technical requirements when required
- Targeting key manufacturers for direct purchasing agreements and exclusivity
- Find opportunities for consolidation and alignments within the overall Waters supply base
- Collaboration Cross functionally with supply chain to maintain availability and minimise supply problem issues
- Dual sourcing analysis across MS portfolio to assess risk mitigation opportunities
- Collaborate with quality, engineering to review and implement strategies for cost recovery
- Management of all component agreements and reporting of financial liability. Review of stock levels to ensure that they support the current and forecasted build plans.
- Evaluate, audit, and manage suppliers to ensure compliance to business goals, mitigate risk and timely constraint resolution
- Execution of Strategic Business reviews within the key strategic partners in the Supply Chain
- Provide support and guidance to MS Purchasing organisation's
- Co-ordination and management of projects that support the departmental practices
- Adherence and operate to departmental processes, ISO procedures and SOX regulations
Qualifications
To be successful you will
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role within the electro mechanical / OEMspace
- Extensive work in an industrial high complexity environment with a proven track record and
- Proven experience of negotiation and cost saving projects required.
- A Bachelor of Business Studies, equivalent primary degree would be beneficial but not necessary
- IIPM Certification and / or APICS Certified
- Strong SAP or SAP Ariba experience
- Advanced MS Office skills
Travel
Anticipated travel 30-35% internationally
