You will be a part of the Group Technology Services (GTS) End User Service (EUS) Operations team overseeing the portfolio of end-user applications. This includes ensuring that these applications are performing optimally, aligning with our business needs, and complying with our organisational policies. Additionally, you will evaluate and approve new applications, ensuring they meet our technical, security, and business requirements. It will involve application discovery and managing the end-to-end lifecycle of applications, from introduction to decommissioning, ensuring timely updates, upgrades, and decommissioning. You will develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for our application portfolio and collaborate with stakeholders, including IT, business units, and external vendors. You Will

Application Management:

Oversee the portfolio of end-user applications, ensuring optimised performance, alignment with business needs, and compliance with organisational policies. Application Approval:

Evaluate and approve new applications, ensuring they meet technical, security, and business requirements. Application Discovery:

Identify and assess new applications and emerging technologies that can enhance end-user productivity and support business initiatives. Lifecycle Management:

Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of applications, from introduction to decommissioning, ensuring timely updates, upgrades, and retirements. Road Mapping:

Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for the application portfolio, aligning with organisational goals and technology trends. You Will Have:

Independent problem-solving and self-directing ability. Ability to work to pre-defined standards. Must be able to understand and apply policy to technical controls. Product knowledge of Packaging Technologies such as MSI, MSIX, App-V, Intune and SCCM. Knowledge of Windows Client & Server Operating Systems (Windows 10, 11 and Server 2016+). Strong documentation and a disciplined, process-oriented approach to tasks. Skilled in communicating product roadmaps, prioritising features based on business value and user impact. Skilled and experienced in stakeholder management including excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing, negotiation skills, and be able to liaise effectively with senior stakeholders. Ability to work with end users, architects and technical teams to evolve the Applications. About SSE
