Role Description 

An opportunity to join an exciting and fast growing media & events company in Leeds boasting some of the best B2B events in the country with operations in the US and Singapore too. 

 

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Event Coordinator located in Leeds with flexibility for some remote work. The Event Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of live events, managing budgets and timelines, liaising with vendors, and ensuring excellent customer service. 

 

  • To work closely with Event manager, sales and editorial teams to develop plans for events and to manage event planning group meeting. 
  • To identify and book locations for the events, liaise with location management for booking, catering and logistical arrangements including vendor management. 
  • Liaise between sales, editorial and design teams for the timely production and circulation of marketing material and other information relating to event publicity, such as other organisations’ websites, appropriate mailing lists and other media. 
  • Compile and send out speaker and delegate information including liaison with AV, hosts, entertainment and toast master/ voice of god. 
  • Assemble and arrange delivery of delegate packs, name badges and exhibition stand and material as appropriate for conferences. 
  • Manage the booking with couriers and timely delivery and return of exhibition stands, computer equipment and documents as required by the Sponsors. 
  • Manage the event on the day/ night, instructing external contractors and internal staff for set-up. 
  • Manage entry process for our awards ceremonies and hold the judging meetings
  • Organise post event meetings- measuring event impact and ROI, feeding information back into the planning cycle for future events. 

 

 

Responsibilities and Qualifications;  

  • Event Planning and Event Management skills 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills 
  • Good time management skills and able to handle multiple events simultaneously 
  • Proven experience in a similar role 
  • Strong organisational, project management skills and ability to take ownership of your projects 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
  • Flexibility to work on evenings as needed 
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Business Administration or a related field is a plus 

 

Desired skills and Experience 

Excellent attention to detail, organisational and time management skills required. Minimum 2-3 years events experience. Flexibility to travel on occasion. Motivated to grow events commercials. 

 

Salary & Benefits 

£25'000 - £27’000pa DOE

Company Pension Scheme 

Profit related Annual Bonus
