Be an ambassador for our exceptional offerings as Event Services Manager, where you will liaise between multiple departments to make special happen. What you will be doing: Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service to both internal and external customers Maintain positive relationships with all guests, vendors, Colleagues and global sales network Develop strong relationships with clients pre, during, and post events to secure future business Organize convention bookings from date of booking to departure, including meeting requirements, guest room requirements, guest room pickup, food & beverage and audio visual Create floor plans for each event to ensure banquets and clients are in agreement prior to set up Initiate billing procedures, ensuring any deposits and/or credit applications are received with adequate information and within an acceptable time frame Conduct pre-convention meetings with clients and pertinent departments to confirm all relevant details are communicated Attend daily meeting to review event contracts and ensure last minute changes are communicated with appropriate departments Work closely with the Culinary team and Front Office team to communicate group details Meet clients prior to departure to ensure all details of the contract were delivered and to solicit any future business Follow departmental policies and procedures Follow all safety policies Other duties as assigned What awaits you: Employee Perks: Enjoy exclusive discounts at the Fairmont Chicago, and Accor properties worldwide—for you and your family Complimentary meals at our on-site employee cafeteria Lifelong Learning: Sharpen your skills through tailored programs at our Academies Impactful Work: Contribute to our Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives Health and Financial Well-Being: Benefit from comprehensive medical and dental coverage, a 401K plan, and convenient direct deposit Limitless Growth: Explore career development opportunities within Fairmont Chicago and beyond. Your experience and skills include: Hospitality Management degree or equivalent preferred 2 years plus experience in a similar role within a luxury hotel Excellent customer skills, superior interpersonal skills, results-oriented and highly motivated Proven ability to plan and execute events effectively with a strong attention to detail Strong knowledge of Opera Cloud, Word, Excel, and Social Tables diagramming programs Strong written and verbal communication skills Computer/Office skills required Ability to work weekends/holidays/evenings Advanced knowledge of catering and events services required Attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to distinguish the various priorities as they relate to both guests and employees Must have ability to work with others to create attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, and cooperativeness Additional Information

Salary:

Subject to experience and qualification, salary range $65,000-$77,000 Visa Requirements:
