Your role: As the Events and Marketing Assistant, you will work closely with the Senior Events Manager to execute events and marketing initiatives across the UK and EMEA. You will perform a diverse range of event and marketing-related functions, including the coordination of meetings, events, and tradeshows, as well as manage project timelines. Your responsibilities: Events Assist with execution of the corporate events calendar Administration and research of industry tradeshow activity and competitor events Assist with activities related to corporate events, sponsorships, and contracts Attend industry conferences and events as required Assist with pre- and post-event activities (e.g. delegate lists, name badges, registration desk, cloak room, etc.) Ensure the sales team follows post-event processes and protocols to maximise client follow-up Facilitate hospitality for events (e.g. setting up tea and coffee stations, putting out refreshments and catering, stationary, etc.) Provide general coordination and logistics support as required Monitor the events inbox and respond to emails accordingly in a timely manner Potential for varying hours of work when required Marketing Assist with the pre and post-event marketing processes (e.g. distribute pre-event and post-event leads to the sales team, facilitate pre- and post-event email plans and work with the CRM manager to ensure data is uploaded into SFMC, etc.) Assist with the production of marketing materials for events, artwork, print, and review copy as required Assist with day-to-day marketing related tasks and the coordination of projects and activities as required Assist with EMS needs (websites, registrant information, reporting, survey builds and follow-up) *Prior EMS (Event Management Software) experience is preferred About you: 2+ years proven experience within an events and marketing environment Experience within a B2B environment Experience of liaising with suppliers (agencies, printers, exhibition organisers, etc.) Exceptional organisation and a willingness to adapt to urgent and changing deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills; a team player who can successfully build cross-functional relationships and collaborate with others Strong organisational and time management skills Comfortable in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment Ability to remain calm under pressure Ability to multi-task and work autonomously, attention to detail, analytical skills Confident and outgoing personality Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proactive self-starter, demonstrating high initiative, critical thinking with excellent ability to work against deadlines Team player with the ability to collaborate, and also work independently Excellent project management and organisation skills; strong computer skills Delivering a great customer experience and maintaining an above and beyond attitude What you can expect: At Global Relay, there’s no ceiling to what you can achieve.
