Hours: 2 days a week, 6-month placement to cover the busy Spring/Summer period. The days of the week will be flexible and may include occasional evening and weekend work. This will be agreed with a rota shared at least 1 week in advance. Location: London, Kings Cross and Canada Water Events & Venue Hire Support

Every event and private booking looks different across our three (almost 4) sites, so the list below does not include everything you may get involved with: Helping to coordinate bookings and answer enquiries about venue hire Attend and assist with set up and close down at events according to booking sheets Supporting inventory checks and general maintenance of events materials and spaces Provide friendly customer service to all who visit the garden Taking payments and serving beverages and snacks at public events Issuing follow-up invoices and quotes to clients based on agreed pricing and tracking on internal database Provide support to facilitators for creative workshops Communications, Administration & Design

Support the events and communications manager to produce external communications about the work of Global Generation, including ensuring events are promoted to staff, volunteers, supporters, the wider community, and any other key stakeholders Create assets, captions, and content to be used on Global Generation’s different platforms (website, social media channels, newsletter) Drafting and scheduling posts on social media Updating content for the website and reviewing pages periodically for accuracy Monitoring social media channels and tracking metrics Skills and Experience Required

This is an entry-level position, so we are not asking for candidates to have a certain amount of experience. It would, however, be useful to have prior knowledge of: Using G-suite and/or Office 365 program Social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram (for creating & scheduling content) Any experience using photo or video editing software, Adobe Suite, Canva, or Capcut or other similar software Any experience working or volunteering in a retail, cafe, or other customer-facing setting As well as having: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally. Fluent in written and spoken English A can-do attitude; willing to jump in and support where help is most needed Good time management and organisational skills Interest in working outdoors and passion for the natural environment Interest in the business and administration aspects of generating income for a charity Empathy with Global Generation’s ethos and interest in values-based learning
