The Team YSJ Events is responsible for the operational planning and delivery of the annual programme of events. This includes internal activities, external events, income generation activities, and sponsorship initiatives for the university. The Role As a recognised expert in conference and event organisation, you will provide a highly professional service to the University in planning and organising activities. You will lead event projects from end-to-end delivery, building strong relationships across departments to facilitate the operational aspects of each event. You will also play a key role in supporting senior events colleagues in the planning and delivery of complex event projects. Additionally, you will act as an advocate for the annual programme, including core tasks to promote and publicise the University’s offerings. Required Skills and Experience The successful candidate will have experience in the end-to-end delivery of events and managing multiple projects with varying deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required to manage the multiple stakeholders involved in event projects. Strong organisational skills, including proficiency with online tools and Microsoft Office systems, are essential to work efficiently across multiple projects simultaneously. Additional Information Successfully shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview panel where questions will relate specifically to the job role and experience in events. This role will require evening and weekend work to support the annual programme of events.
