Do you have experience working in mass participation events? Zest4Talent are delighted to be recruiting for an Events Coordinator for a leading charity based on the outskirts of Woking. A competitive salary of 25-30k will be offered with excellent benefits including 5 weeks holiday and flexitime within a 37.5 hr week 5 day week. Events Coordinator (Charity) Person Specification

Events experience either in the charity or commercial sector is advantageous. If you have worked or directly volunteered for a charity, that would assist your application but is non-essential. You must, however, have previous customer service and administration experience and be able to multi-task in a busy, ever-changing environment. Excellent communication skills are essential for the role, as is a good standard of Microsoft Excel. Attention to detail and the ability to organise your workload as well as work to deadlines are key. To fit in with the existing team, you will have a positive and agile approach and be prepared to work as a team to get the job done. Reporting to the Events Manager, your daily responsibilities will include:

Work closely with the Head of Events and CEO in the strategic planning of all events. Attend relevant planning meetings as required with authorities and to be involved in the negotiation of what is required for the events. Support the negotiations with contractors and suppliers to ensure the best financial deals possible, and also to ensure a high standard of work is maintained at all times. Ensuring that all stock records are accurately kept at all times, and that required stock is purchased when needed. Budgeting and costing events. Maintaining full briefing notes along with de-briefing notes. Maintaining and developing a contacts database of contractors and suppliers. Ad hoc support to ensure the event runs smoothly. If this Events Coordinator role for this internationally acclaimed charity sounds like your ideal next career move, please contact Zest4Talent without delay for an initial informal interview. We respond to all applications. Zest4Talent are a specialist recruitment agency working on behalf of our clients.
