Events Adviser

to join their team. The successful candidate will assist and support the Assistant Director, Head of Events, and Events Manager with all aspects of their events, alongside the other Events Advisers. Main Responsibilities: Deliver end-to-end planning and organising of events with the wider team to ensure success and that all target objectives and timelines are met. Ensure all reports/agendas/notes are provided to the Assistant Director and/or Events Manager within the allocated schedule. Manage external relationships with suppliers (such as catering, AV, printers, design agency, external venues) on a regular basis (including contracts, queries, invoices). Ensure the CRM is administered and used to its full functionality from an events and member engagement point of view. Contribute to the events business planning process by meeting with all teams and collating events wishes for the following year, compiling a draft calendar and producing draft budgets. Support on events technology and creative outputs including design (working with an external agency), events engagement tool, marketing (website, marketing emails, etc.) as part of allocated events and support other team members when required. Take responsibility for the management of each allocated event, working with colleagues in other departments who will undertake appropriate administrative tasks. Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including staff at all levels in member firms, working with the Assistant Director and Events Manager to support partnership and sponsorship activities. Research, draft, and extract reports and provide suggestions and recommendations. Assist with information required for event budgets with oversight from the Events Manager and/or Assistant Director, Head of Member Relations, Partnerships and Events. Actively participate in member networking opportunities (their events), proactively highlighting their value during these interactions and expressing confidence in our ability to deliver on behalf of the industry. Lead and manage ad-hoc project work and take ownership of keeping projects on schedule, and carry out such other duties as may reasonably be required by the organisation. Essential Skills: Experience in events, delivering in-person, virtual (including webinars), and hybrid events. Prior experience working in corporate events with a demonstrated ability to take ownership and responsibility from conception to delivery and aftercare with proven results. Good team working and interpersonal skills, with excellent relationship building and proactive management of relationships with members and external stakeholders. Ability to plan and prioritise multiple work streams effectively and meet deadlines under pressure, showing flexibility and initiative to adapt to changing work demands. Resilience and the ability to work well under pressure, available outside normal working hours when required. Proactive and flexible approach, including the ability to plan and work independently to achieve agreed objectives. High degree of attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate with people at all levels. Demonstrable prior experience working with CRM systems.
