Role Overview

We are seeking an accomplished Events Manager to help deliver exceptional in-person and virtual events. This position is a 12-month fixed-term contract and will be responsible for the end-to-end management of client and staff events, working across both B2B and B2C audiences. You will be part of a high-performing business marketing and events team, gaining exposure to a variety of interesting campaigns and programs. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by creating outstanding experiences for clients, prospects, and staff, while helping the business achieve its ambitious growth targets. Key Responsibilities

Event Management

Event Design: Create innovative and differentiated event programs that align with business and marketing objectives. Stay current with best practices across virtual event platforms, venues, and entertainment options.

Planning and Budget Management: Source appropriate venues, produce event proposals, and manage the delivery of events from conception to completion. Conduct detailed budget planning, tracking, cost negotiation, reconciliation, and invoice processing. Adhere to internal policies by collaborating with legal, procurement, compliance, health and safety, and marketing operations to ensure all risk assessments, permissions, and contracts are completed to company standards.

Client and Stakeholder Management

Internal Collaboration:

Liaise with key internal business stakeholders throughout the event process. Work closely with marketing colleagues to deliver events as part of multi-channel campaigns. Demonstrate the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, depending on project size and complexity.

Communication and Branding

Event Communications:

Manage all event communications, including the invitation process and guest list management using online systems (experience with DotDigital, CRM Dynamics, SharePoint, Cvent preferred). Develop online surveys to gauge client and staff experiences post-event and conduct attendance analysis and reporting.

Logistics and Delivery

Event Execution:

Familiar with virtual platforms, including MS Teams and Live, with experience in delivering webinars and in-person events. Conduct venue research, site inspections, and prepare comprehensive venue proposals for internal clients. Manage supplier and agency briefings, including cost negotiation and relationship management.

Support for Hospitality Manager

Ticketing and Hospitality Management:

Support the ticketing and hospitality activation for the Investec Champions Cup sponsorship, including ticket allocation, distribution, and liaising with clubs for additional ticket purchases. Work closely with Marketing Operations to ensure meticulous management of all related contracts.

Core Skills and Knowledge

Experience: Strong track record and experience in event planning and delivery, budget management, and project management within a corporate environment.

Stakeholder Management: Excellent skills in managing relationships with stakeholders and clients.

Creative Thinking: Ability to generate innovative ideas and take events from concept to delivery.

Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.

Communication Skills: Strong writing, communication, and presentation skills.

Additional Attributes (Helpful but Not Essential)

Understanding of Financial Organizations:

Familiarity with the financial services sector would be advantageous.

Professional Marketing Qualification:

A marketing qualification would be beneficial but is not required.
