Events Manager

to join their marketing team, reporting directly to the Marketing Director. In this role, you’ll take the lead in managing the planning, execution, and delivery of both corporate and social events for the company. From conferences and exhibitions to internal and external events, you’ll oversee a diverse range of projects while driving efficiency, managing budgets, and ensuring seamless event experiences. Key Responsibilities: Develop processes to manage all company events, ensuring budget control and adherence to guidelines. Oversee the event calendar and execution of company-wide events. Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure best-value contracts. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to effectively promote events. Ensure cost-effective practices across all event-related activities. Source, onboard, and manage vendor relationships for top-quality service delivery. Implement sustainability considerations in event planning. Event Management: Lead the entire event cycle, from concept development through to on-site execution. Create innovative, budget-friendly event proposals aligned with stakeholder expectations. Manage event logistics such as venue sourcing, seating, dining, and entertainment. Coordinate day-of event activities, problem-solving, and vendor communication. Track event success through feedback and performance reporting. Core Competencies: Proven leadership and team management skills. Expertise in project management, with the ability to juggle multiple events simultaneously. Strong problem-solving, communication, and negotiation abilities. Attention to detail with a creative approach to event planning and execution. Proficient in event management software and budget controls. Qualifications/Experience: A degree or equivalent qualification in Event Management or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in a similar role. Experience in managing and organising events/conferences within a variety of external venues. Project management certification (a plus).
