Location: Home Based (England - Midlands/ South) We are looking for an experienced Events Manager to manage and deliver external events to our Adviser audience, supporting our lead generation & marketing activity. You will be part of a small, friendly and customer-focused events team sitting within the Adviser Marketing Department of our M&G Life business. You'll work closely with a range of business areas within M&G including our Distribution Sales teams, Pension & Investment Specialists and M&G Treasury & Investment Office to develop events to support our sales & marketing strategy, so building relationships and working as a team is important. You'll need to be a self-starter and team player, organised with great attention to detail, good at multi-tasking and work well under pressure. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced events manager with a proven track record to join M&G at a time where our focus is on growth and innovation. Key Responsibilities for this role:

To develop, plan and implement external F2F and Virtual Adviser event activities end to end - content & communications, logistics & delegate management. To manage our event registration system and build associated activity webpages and events Apps in line with agreed event & processes. To review feedback from events and propose improvements. To manage third-party suppliers & contracts on a day-to-day basis (eg contract reviews, regular review meetings, negotiations on commercials, TMLAs, contract reporting). To produce (via suppliers) and manage promotional material stock and associated website for our business area. To be responsible for tracking events against agreed budgets and associated budget tracker. Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Event experience

- a minimum of 5 years proven experience of complex and multisite event management both small and large events - seminars, roadshows, industry and awards events. Proven virtual event management

& live delivery experience. Project management experience

- experience managing projects from start to finish. Communication experience

- proven content management and communication experience- creating content to support both the event logistic communication and the live event content. Budgetary management experience

- ability to manage finances, negotiate with vendors, and stick to budgets. Risk management

- an understanding of health and safety requirements and risk assessments in events. Delegation management experience

- ability to manage and interact with participants, event organisers and presenters and manage delegate logistics. Supplier Management experience

- experience in working and negotiating with suppliers, venues and other service providers. Relationship Management experience

- strong internal and external stakeholder management at all levels - building relationships with clients, vendors, and participants. Working knowledge of industry best practice, good network/links with external bodies and individuals in the same field. Marketing experience

- knowledge of promoting events through various channels. Data management experience

- understanding how to work with and manage data as a controller with particular emphasis on security. Sustainability management & reporting

- good understanding of event sustainability effects, making the right choices to use to best outcome for an event. Digital experience

- a familiarity with event management software and tools and audio-visual equipment. Experience in HTML website coding, but not a pre-requisite. Other role requirements:

South of England based with flexible home working. Travel requirements essential. Flexible approach to working hours. UK driving licence preferred.
