Job Mission / Purpose: Working alongside the Event Planners, the Events Planning Specialist is an integral part of the team in planning events. The main purpose of the role is to support the planning team with managing all needs for all events with close supervision and guidelines. Key Activities & Responsibilities Event Organisation working with the event planners Event Compliance Country Specific Requirements Ad hoc administrative tasks Adhere to the Franchise and Compliance Events strategy, including a detailed review of all processes, procedures, methods, and tools to determine adequacy for the events planning service. Ensuring all KPI’s are monitored effectively and achieved. Assist in maintaining a culture of continuous improvement of service provided to our customers. Build and maintain relationships with other Functions while driving leverage opportunities across the areas. Ensure all Compliance, SOX, FCPA, and Quality policies are implemented and applied in any undertaking of events planning. Deal directly with sales force/product managers in relation to Event Reviews on a regular basis. Events specialist will liaise with all major functions of the business such as Business units, Compliance, Finance, and more to achieve key activities on a local, European, and/or cross-divisional level when there is misalignment with the given procedure/guideline. Responsible for the entire Events coordination. Working knowledge of GDPR regulations. Work with all virtual event platforms required by the business. Complete all GRT work for both TPEC’s and Educational Grant requests as per current process. Education Essential: School leaver or College equivalent qualifications Desired: Bachelor’s Degree desired but not essential Experience Essential: New graduate or 1-2 years work experience in a customer-focused business Ability to work outside standard working hours to meet event requirements Desirable: Fluent and skilled in local language as well as English Previous event management experience or project planning Work experience in a Medical Device company Knowledge of MedTech Europe Compliance Good Excel working knowledge CAPS contract management system Good problem-solving skills Flexibility to support business needs for events Competencies & Behaviours Decision Making/Judgement – Selects effective approaches to solving issues based on available information and business objectives Strategic activity – Understands and considers customers, regulatory, and legislative issues when making decisions Planning/Organisation – Understands what is needed to accomplish project objectives and establish appropriate goals and priorities. Has a proactive and independent personality, with the ability to manage their own workload and prioritize appropriately Strong internal drive and motivation to make a difference and add value to an organization
