Brief Job Description GLG’s Events team programs compelling insights driven meetings with global thought leaders and top practitioners, while managing all surrounding operational logistics. Position Overview GLG’s Events Specialist leverages GLG’s core asset – the GLG Network – to participate in small and midsize group meetings, Roundtables and Seminars, both remote and in person, as well as virtual events including Webcasts and Teleconferences with clients and GLG Network Members. This position will focus on the development and programming of multiple events around select industry segments, which will vary by need, and will connect the industry’s most notable experts with business and investment leaders throughout the world. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative, time management, and logistical skills, with experience working in a fast-paced environment. Overall Values We seek bright, positive, and flexible people who also: Act with the highest integrity and professionalism in all their endeavors Utilise superior analytical and problem-solving skills Think creatively and focus on opportunities for growth and lead others to do the same Express a strong desire to work in a team Respond effectively to management direction and clients’ needs Demonstrate the ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Event Hosts to manage the production and logistics of multiple events, both virtual and in-person, across various platforms Oversee speaker and client participation, coordinating directly and with internal stakeholders as needed Assist with content creation for event materials, including promotional and descriptive copy Handle venue selection and prepare hosts for onsite event management Arrange travel for GLG Network Members and internal teams Adhere to process standards, demonstrating strong decision-making abilities Manage monthly bill reconciliations and process expense reimbursements Coordinating event transcription process post-event Required Skills Potential candidates must possess: Experience in positions of increasing responsibility within an event management firm, conference or tradeshow producer, or related corporate experience Across all positions, we insist upon excellence, integrity, creativity, and high-level of professionalism Ability to multi-task and prioritise activities effectively including managing small but multiple events at one time High level of accuracy and attention to detail Flexibility and tenacity to adapt to the needs to the team and product Strong written and oral communication skills including basic copy-editing Successful track record of working in a team environment Proven ability to work in a rigorous, fast-moving work environment while being adaptable to changes in work scope Drives results while striving for consistency and process compliance Previous experience with client servicing, quality control, or quality assurance preferred High levels of proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (including Excel and Word) and other database and technology tools are required
