We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Assistant and Project Coordinator to join the prestigious Institute of Astronomy (IoA). You will play a pivotal role in supporting the renowned Professor of Astrophysics (1909) and the Plumian Professor of Astronomy and Experimental Philosophy (position currently vacant), who are both esteemed leaders in their respective fields of research.
The key purpose of this role is to coordinate, implement and oversee administrative procedures for the efficient running of the offices of Professor of Astrophysics (1909), and the Plumian Professor of Astronomy and Experimental Philosophy at the Institute of Astronomy, University of Cambridge.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree or equivalent qualification and demonstrate practical experience in supporting programme delivery, preferably within a higher education environment. Exceptional communication, organisational, and planning skills are essential for success in this role, as is the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
This position offers a competitive salary at Grade 6 (£33,232 - £39,105), commensurate with the applicant's level of expertise and experience.

Fixed Term: This is a full-time, fixed term position with funding available until November 2026 in the first instance, with the possibility of further extension subject to funding.
