We have aligned our Digital and Transformation teams, recognising the exciting opportunities for innovation and new technologies to improve services and transform how we work.

We are now seeking to appoint an Executive Director of Digital & Transformation.

Main duties of the job

As an integral member of the Trust's Executive Leadership team, your key responsibilities will include:

Designing and leading organisational and system change that reflects the needs of the people we serve, aligning with the Trust's strategic objectives to deliver high quality, financially sustainable, and effective care closer to the places where people live, learn and work. Overseeing the development of an aligned transformation capability, leveraging commercial, innovation, digital, data, technology and R&D capabilities while also ensuring appropriate mechanisms are in place to deliver safe and reliable services. Ensuring that the digital agenda is front and centre of our future thinking and that we are using data, knowledge, and technology to improve clinical and operating model design across the Trust. Using modern methodologies/thinking to support robust programme, project and product management, focusing on user centred design approaches that keep user experience and outcomes at the fore. Contributing to our system-wide transformation priorities, sharing knowledge, skills and capabilities to improve population outcomes, building collaborative and strategic partnerships across the health economy, and with local government and other statutory and voluntary sector organisations.

Qualification

Essential

Professional registration/accreditation i.e. a recognised health improvement qualification or a recognised digital/IT/informatics qualification, or a willingness to obtain such. Masters Degree or equivalent experience in an appropriate field.

Experience

Essential

Significant recent leadership experience in a senior digital and/or transformation role. Experience of leading large-scale transformation and improvement programmes across complex systems and organisations within healthcare or a related setting. Experience of financial management of significant budgets. Successful implementation of digital innovation to improve service quality and effectiveness. Demonstrates an appreciation of IT legislation and regulation within healthcare or a related setting.
