The Director of Transformation, Improvement and Productivity is an exciting new position created as a result of the Trust Board's commitment to ensuring that the organisation is at the leading edge of delivering sustainably high quality and cost-effective services. The postholder will be a key member of our Executive Management Team and a non-voting member of the Trust Board of Directors.

As an Executive Director, the post holder shares responsibility with Director colleagues for our overall strategic direction and performance. They will contribute to the highest level of thinking and decision-making processes and will have overall responsibility for the delivery of a cutting-edge and high-quality programme management office approach to deliver transformation, improvement and productivity across all services. The successful candidate will implement and communicate a clear transformation strategy that is sustainable, supports quality and improves outcomes and enhances service user experience.

Main duties of the job The postholder will lead specific change programmes and will also be the executive lead for the newly established Programme Management Office. They will have the drive and ambition to deliver a complex, challenging and exciting agenda whilst promoting an organisational culture that actively delivers the Trust's Vision and Values. They will positively engage colleagues, service users and other stakeholders within Place and ICB, in sustainable quality improvement and service transformation. The postholder will particularly promote the development and delivery of our Care Trust Way approach to continuous improvement and role model and further embed in the organisation our values of We Care, We Listen, and We Deliver in all productivity aspirations.

Relevant accredited improvement methodology training, such as IHI Model for Improvement, Lean Management, Six Sigma, etc.

Knowledge/Skills/Experience Essential Significant experience of effectively and compassionately leading and managing high performing teams. Strong negotiation skills and style that are compatible with partnership arrangements to deliver on the transformation of services at an organisational, place and system level. Highly developed influencing skills using gathered intelligence to shape the strategic direction and delivery of Trust transformation and improvement. Current knowledge of NHS policy, national directives, and all good governance aspects but with a specific emphasis on high performance and productivity. Substantial experience of analysing, interpreting and reporting on highly complex data and information e.g. business cases and take decisions regarding allocation of resources and identification and successful management of risk and issues.
