We are looking for an

Experienced Exhibition Carpenter , with experience in the Exhibition and Events Industry in Royston, Hertfordshire.

This role will involve working on projects from start to finish, from the initial workshop build through to the site installation. It is expected that you will be comfortable using workshop machinery, working individually and as part of the workshop team, and confident in your skillset. The projects are highly diverse in content, style, and design, making this a varied and exciting role. This will require not only experience but a passion for your craft, and we are looking for a Carpenter that is at the forefront of their skill set.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm with a 30 min unpaid break and 2 x 15 min paid breaks.

This role is varied and multiskilled, offering diversity to your job.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MUST HAVE:

Proven experience within the Exhibition and Events industry. Comfortable using Table Saws, Hand Tools, and an understanding of CNC Processes and machinery. Ability to laminate and finish built components to the required standards. A good understanding of graphic processes, electrical installations, and Audio-visual equipment. High standards of working as well as setting high standards for the completed projects. Great personal skills to work within a team of people with different skills, as well as the ability to liaise with clients. Accurate and precise. Comfortable being away from home for up to a week on occasions. Full UK Driving Licence. A passport is required as travel is necessary.

JOB DETAILS AND BENEFITS

Flexi-rota, minimum of 42.5 hours a week. £18 per hour. Additional employee incentives. Uniform provided. Paid overtime and expenses. Immediate start. Training opportunities to expand skillset in CNC/CAD.

Please be aware that this job can be demanding. The successful candidate will be required to work paid overtime and/or weekends during the busy period of the year.
