3D Designer who has a passion for creativity and events!

The role requires a combination of technical expertise, artistic license, and 3D visualization skills. The role is based at our office in Farnborough, working directly with the head of creative. Tecna UK transforms ideas into unforgettable display experiences. Working with B2B clients and agencies, we turn their ideas into amazing exhibition stands, conference sets, and experiential activations – working from design to installation. Reports to:

Head of Creative The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong design skills and the ability to think creatively, by generating innovative ideas and solutions, and exploring the different resolutions to a brief. They must be able to take an idea and translate it into a compelling 3D design that both tells a story and achieves a client’s goals. They must then use pricing matrices to produce an estimate with input from the wider team. The ability to create artwork for print is beneficial. Day to Day: Translate ideas, sketches, and written client briefs into exciting 3D designs. Identify client’s brand, target audience, key messaging, and market position to ensure concepts align with their goals. Attend client meetings to aid in the successful capture of a project brief alongside the sales team. Present concepts, mood boards, floor plans, and renderings using creative storytelling to explain design intent. Use pricing processes to produce accurate cost and sale estimations alongside the sales team, including accessing the knowledge of the wider business where estimates require it. Stay up to date with industry trends, technologies, competitors, materials, etc. Ideal Candidate: Clear understanding of design intent, technical build capabilities, and the impact of H&S regulations and on-site considerations on project outcomes. Ability to work under pressure and independently. Commercial awareness to work within client budgets guided by the sales team. Good communicator, strong ability to listen, reflect, and act on briefs and feedback. Good knowledge of the Adobe suite. Excellent organisational skills – ability to manage multiple projects and ensure time is utilised efficiently. Experience with Sketch Up and V-ray preferred; other 3D visualization software and animation skills advantageous. Comfortable working in a collaborative environment with input from multiple stakeholders working towards a unified goal.
