We're seeking someone to join our team as an Exotic Equity Derivatives Development Lead. This is an Exotic Equity Derivatives Development Lead position at Vice President level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs. Team Profile: Morgan Stanley's market leading institutional equity derivatives business is powered by a world class technology platform from front to back. Our platform manages the processing of Structured Products and OTC's for the exotic derivatives business. This is a complex business area requiring smart, innovative, and self-sufficient developers to work closely with sales, trading and quants. As the business continues to grow, we are undertaking a programme of change to increase our external connectivity via REST and FIX; as well as a strong focus on improving our pricing tools. We are looking to build out a cloud ready, horizontally scalable pricing system with zero downtime and single click deployment capability. This is an opportunity to get involved in shaping the pricing strategy and tooling. What you'll do in the role: You will be a proficient Java developer, who will be hands on, in a delivery focused role. You will have strong product knowledge of equity derivatives and ideally structured products and OTC's. You will have strong communications skills to build a strong relationship with business stakeholders including sales, trading, and quants. You will be a proactive member of an agile development team, focusing on efficient application delivery to meet business KPI's. You will encourage innovation and set technical guardrails for the development team. You will help develop and lead the technology strategy within the department, as well as ensuring it aligns with the global technology strategy. Get the opportunity to work with front end application development in HTML 5, Angular and scripting in python. You will help implement and ensure the team follows SDLC best practices. What you'll bring to the role: Knowledge of sales and trading platforms in Equities / FX / Fixed Income / Derivatives domain. Knowledge of application integration, software design patterns, frameworks, unit testing, automated testing, performance / memory analysis, and n-tier service-oriented architecture. Knowledge of Agile development techniques and a deep understanding of systems engineering, build and release management principles including continuous integration and continuous delivery. Practical knowledge building Java Applications. Specifically, Spring Boot Applications. Test-Driven Development (TDD) experience. Skills to effectively work within and improve upon the existing tech stack:

Java (8+) Python HTML 5, CSS3, Angular Git, Teamcity, Jenkins, Stash Utilisation of the latest Firm technologies including Treadmill PaaS, Splunk-based LaaS and Service Discovery
