Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to patients in a care home or home care setting, assisting with daily activities and ensuring the highest standard of care. This role requires effective communication skills and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in our care. Duties Assist patients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming. Support the implementation of care plans tailored to individual patient needs. Monitor and record patients' health status and report any changes to the healthcare team. Help patients with mobility and physical activities, ensuring their safety at all times. Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to provide updates on patient progress. Drive patients to appointments or activities as required, ensuring their comfort during transport. Skills Proficiency in creating and following care plans tailored to individual needs. Strong IT skills for maintaining patient records and documentation. Excellent command of English for effective communication with patients and colleagues. Experience working in a care home or home care environment is highly desirable. Ability to communicate empathetically with patients and their families. A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting patients when necessary.
