We are seeking an experienced and highly competent Facilities Manager to oversee the management and maintenance of an UHNW family’s property portfolio in central London, with a primary focus on one principal residence and four additional properties in Mayfair.

This is a technical, hands-on role requiring strong engineering expertise, particularly in property systems, maintenance, and facilities management. The successful candidate will possess an extensive technical background, ideally obtained in the UHNW environment, and will have a proven track record of managing complex, high-value properties with a focus on engineering systems, building maintenance, and operational excellence. You must have a strong understanding of property maintenance, systems engineering, and an ability to manage technical teams and contractors effectively. Key Responsibilities: Ensure the engineering and technical systems of all properties are maintained to the highest standards, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems Conduct regular property inspections to identify technical issues, with a focus on preventative maintenance and implementing corrective actions Manage and coordinate contractors, engineers, and maintenance personnel, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to quality standards Oversee property security systems, including alarms, cameras, and other advanced monitoring technologies, ensuring continuous protection Coordinate any works that involve engineering or building systems, providing ongoing technical advice on improvements and maintenance planning Review and manage tenders for works, ensuring that the best contractors/solutions are selected, whilst drafting schedules and client correspondence Monitor the progress of all engineering and technical projects, ensuring they meet the agreed standards and timelines Managing invoices and valuations and dealing with all cost management Coordinate with household staff for access and scheduling in order to minimise disruption to residents when in property Working alongside the Family Office to manage the various schedules of the property portfolio and open communication with family members Required Skills and Experience: A strong technical background in building services, engineering, or facilities management A minimum of five years' experience in a similar technical management role, ideally in the UHNW environment or within a Chief Engineering Management role within luxury 5* hotels Proven experience in managing building systems such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and security systems Prior experience overseeing refurbishments and technical projects is highly desirable An extensive network of contacts within the engineering and building services industries, including contractors and other key service providers Must be available on call for emergencies when the client is in residence, with a more regular Monday to Friday schedule when they are not Personal Attributes: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and time-management abilities Trustworthy, hardworking, and proactive in ensuring the properties are always maintained to the highest standard The ability to manage and lead a team of technical staff and contractors effectively Flexible and adaptable to the needs of the family and the property portfolio with strong communication skills Please see further details below: Client: UHNW Family Location: Mayfair, London Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 gross per annum Start Date: March 2025 Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm with flexibility. Must be available outside office hours for emergencies when the family is in residence Annual Leave: Not to be taken in July and August due to family schedules.
