This will be an office-based role which will require a high level of organisation. You will be controlling the allocation of work to Technicians to meet the department's efficiency/productivity KPI's whilst also ensuring the timely flow of job cards to administration.
Reporting to the Service Manager and liaising with the Workshop Foreman, you will be leading a team of 25 Technicians and 4 Apprentices divided over four shift patterns.
This role would suit someone who has had experience of working within a similar role within the Automotive/Truck environment and has good commercial vehicle technical knowledge and IT skills.
Duties include:
Allocating work to technicians Ensuring all work has been carried out correctly, competently, and within the expected timescales Communicating with Service Reception on vehicle progress to keep customers updated Liaising with team members to obtain customer authority for any additional work Final sign off job cards Assisting Technicians with any technical issues Fluid contamination analysis sample control
