Competitive, based on experience About Us Above the Brine Ltd is a dynamic and growing business offering a range of marine services alongside our onsite chandlery. We are an official dealer for Tohatsu outboard engines and are Beta Marine Installers. We service the leisure craft industry. We are looking for a skilled and experienced Marine Mechanic to join our team. Key Responsibilities Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of inboard and outboard motors, including Tohatsu and Beta Marine engines. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and fuel system issues. Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance. Install and commission new engines and associated systems. Assist with broader boatyard operations, including haul-outs and general boat maintenance tasks. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, adhering to all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with the team to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction. Keep accurate service records and provide detailed reports on completed work. Skills and Qualifications Must have proven experience as a marine mechanic with leisure craft engines. Proficiency in working with inboard and outboard motors, including diagnostics and repairs. Familiarity with Tohatsu and Beta Marine is a plus. Strong mechanical and electrical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Full UK driving license is preferred. What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience.
