Registered Manager

of Rainbow House, you will lead and oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring compliance with Ofsted's Quality Standards and Children’s Homes Regulations (2015). You will play a pivotal role in creating a supportive and enriching environment where children thrive emotionally, socially, and academically. Key Responsibilities Home Management Provide leadership to ensure the home is managed efficiently and effectively, maintaining the highest standards of care. Develop and implement tailored care plans to support the personal development and independence of each child. Conduct regular quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and Coven Care Homes’ policies. Ensure the home remains clean, well-maintained, and welcoming, liaising with maintenance teams as needed. Childcare and Safeguarding Adhere to statutory frameworks such as the Children Act, Care Standards Act, and Children’s Homes Regulations. Promote children’s rights, anti-discriminatory practices, and inclusion in all aspects of care. Oversee safeguarding policies, including individual risk assessments and the Missing from Home Protocol. Actively engage with the child’s education plan, liaising with schools, virtual schools, and local authorities. Team Leadership Lead, mentor, and support the team, fostering a culture of professionalism, resilience, and high performance. Conduct staff supervisions, appraisals, and training to ensure continuous professional development. Ensure all staff are inducted, trained, and compliant with mandatory requirements, including safeguarding and behaviour management. Partnership and Community Engagement Build strong relationships with families, social workers, and other stakeholders to promote collaborative care. Encourage children’s participation in community activities, fostering a sense of belonging and self-confidence. Support children’s engagement with their cultural, religious, and linguistic backgrounds. Financial Management Manage the home’s budget effectively, including staff rotas, pocket money, and operational costs. Ensure financial records are maintained and audited regularly. mandatory . Level 5 Qualification in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent). A minimum of 6 months’ experience managing a children’s home. Proven ability to maintain high Ofsted ratings. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience managing challenging behaviour and promoting positive outcomes.
