Experienced Phlebotomist - Internal Only The phlebotomy department at Royal Berkshire Hospital is looking for a band 3 experienced phlebotomist to support with the daily provision of quality blood collection services. We are an extensive department that services both wards and outpatient clinics. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, enthusiastic, and has previous experience in a similar role to join our team. Main Duties of the Job

The post holder will be required to collect samples from inpatients and patients attending outpatient clinics. They will liaise with clinicians, other healthcare professionals including laboratory staff, patients, their representatives, and commercial suppliers. The post holder will perform a range of venepuncture techniques in a variety of clinical settings and will work without direct supervision. They will also be required to perform reception and telephone duties. About Us

Education, Qualifications & Training

GCSE Maths or equivalent Good English language skills, both written & spoken Fully trained in phlebotomy procedures European Computer Driving Licence Experience

Able to perform phlebotomy procedures without direct supervision once proficient Previous laboratory work experience Other Skills

A good level of computer literacy Disclosure and Barring Service Check
