Biggar Medical Practice has an exciting opportunity for a caring, enthusiastic, and highly motivated experienced Practice Nurse to join our friendly practice. The successful candidate will be flexible and have the ability to use initiative as well as being able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Applicants must be NMC registered and have previous experience in Chronic Disease Management including Diabetes, Asthma, COPD, and in Cervical Cytology.
Independent Nurse prescribing would also be desirable.
Ongoing training and development is encouraged and supported.
The post is remunerated depending on qualifications and experience.
5 weeks annual holiday plus 10 days public holidays; after one year this increases to 6 weeks annual holiday and 10 days public holidays, unless NHS employment is regarded as continuous (Pro rata).
Set within the traditional market town of Biggar, the medical practice team cares for 8000 patients. We are also responsible for the care of an 18-bed ward in the Kello Community Hospital and Greenhills care home.

7 Patient Advisors/Practice Administrators
1 Community Link Worker
The Integrated Community Support Team is based in the Health Centre. Other community services provide clinics at the Health Centre.
