Teaching Assistant – ASD Provision (Mainstream Primary) – Tottenham (N17) Are you a strong, experienced, and dedicated teaching assistant with a passion for supporting students with autism? We are looking for a resilient and committed individual to join our ASD provision within a thriving mainstream primary school in Tottenham (N17). As a teaching assistant in this specialist provision, you will play a crucial role in creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment for children with autism. Your expertise and understanding will help empower students, enabling them to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally. Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with autism, assisting with academic tasks, social interactions, and emotional regulation. Implement tailored strategies to support students' individual needs and promote positive behaviour. Build an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere, encouraging empathy and understanding among all pupils. Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students. Monitor and document student progress, providing clear and effective communication with parents and caregivers. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay informed about best practices in autism support and SEN education. Qualities & Requirements:

Essential: Experience working with children with autism in an educational setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, staff, and parents. A proactive and adaptable approach to meet the dynamic needs of students. Patience, empathy, and resilience when managing challenges. Ability to create a structured and supportive learning environment where all students feel valued and empowered.
